Dr Geoffrey Drapper, Melbourne Barriatrics Centre, Peninsula Private Ospital Frankston Victoria.
Very thorough team, every team member feel like a personal friend by the time you are through. Also very sympathetic and practical. Highly recommend.

Thanks Mini. I've been talking to his coordinator, who has been very helpful. My reservation with Dr Draper is the cost -- an extra $5k gap is significant. If they are very good, it's worth it of course.

Hi Im seeing Dr James Chau for my first consultation at the end of November , Has anyone else seen him ?
Hi I had my lapband removed by Dr Jon Armstrong at SJOG in Subiaco WA and will be using him again in Jan for my sleeve surgery
Seeing him this Thursday to book in a date can't wait !
Did some serious googling to find the right Surgeon
My Anesthiast ( can't spell but aaaanyways) Dr Paul Swan was amazing awesome sense of humor
Hi Pip, Good to know as i have to have exactly the same thing done. Band removed and then the sleeve. My only hold up is $$$$. I was told about $3000 to get the band removed then $7000 for the sleeve. Does that sound about right?
I have been having problems with the band after 8years and now it has almost no fluid in it anyway so its not helping with my weight but it is still stopping me from eating good things like lots of salads and apples and such.
Thanks for sharing that news
Hi sugasweetpurple, I just had the sleeve almost a month ago on the Gold Coast. Surgeon's gap $3,000, Anaesthetist $500, Hospital Gap $500 plus pathology and X-rays approx $800. Hope that helps. I read some other posts on another forum that Bunbury had some surgeons that were less than that.. Im not sure what the revision will add to the mix.
All the best in whatever you decide.
Hey Kazza sorry matey just saw your reply now ..delayed or what ...ok let's see...yep that's about right...at the time I'm thinking damn that's a lot of money, now I'm like best damn money I ever did spend ..20 kilos down and I'm so rarely hungry it's awesome !
I'm sorry to hear that you have had issues for so long I definitely would say our doing the right thing making the move to the sleeve...what a difference !
Anytime you want to chat I'm usually around
