I have made a couple of new friends on here and I am really happy about it!
Agree! I love our community.
It's truly one of the nicest communities I've run into. I've been on BB's for a very long time and there's alot of cattiness on alot of boards that isn't here. I love that.
Straight forward. Straight facts. Whether you like the truth or not... I'm not made of sugar coating

I agree everyone is so encouraging. It helps so much to be able to visit with other people going through the same thing.

you guys have given me such courage when I find it waning. I am a little apprehensive but I know that is to be expected, I would be a fool not to be.
great news. GOT MY DATE !!!!!!!!!!!! JUNE 20 because my dr is out of town so much over next month. Told the office today how much I had learned about \being on post-op side and they told me to stop reading scary stories. Not all have been scary but a few defiantly have been. Just knowing that (drum roll) I have already lost 40 lbs since beginning of year keeps me going and helps me realize I can do more than I thought. Please keep telling the truth..it is so much easier knowing its not going to be a piece of cake rather than being surprised when I ask why did I do this. Thanks again for everything you have shared...all of you
I am glad you have your date. There are only a few stories on here that are really scary or true complications. Some things are just to be expected after surgery and as long as people expect soreness, being tired, runny poop and so on as normal, they won't feel like it is complications. They are all possible. Surgery for me was a piece of cake. I had those things that I mentioned above occur, but never considered it a complication.
Just keep a positive attitude and you will do great!
