Another Food question!????

Ok I had surgery on 10-23-12...Compared to others on here, I am able to hold alot more food...I have to actually watch what I eat because I could consume to many calories if I didn't...My doctor told me to try to get 1,000 calories per day, which I can do easy...Has anyone else at around 2 months out ..was you able to eat like this? Why can I eat so well and others are having problems sipping water?

Everybody heals differently, and everybody experiences different side effects post-op. Two months out and I will still sticking to yogurts and protein shakes and avoiding solid foods.
Just please, please be cautious, just because it doesn't hurt doesn't mean your stomach is anywhere near healed, stick with the diet plan your surgeon provided you!!!

i am about the same as you. Can eat what i like. Wierd. I train 4 times a week,so maybe that it a apetite waker aswell. I eat 1200 kcal on days i train.

At 7 weeks my diet is anything except red meat...so my doc says I can eat alot of foods, but my concern is the size of the stomach!

I am 9 weeks out and have been on solid foods since week 4. My doctor says I can eat anything and they eventually want me to get all of my protein in by food and not shakes. Right now I do one shake a day, and eat 3 meals. I can get about 2 1/2 - 3 oz of food in at a meal. So, I think you are doing fine. Just don't over eat. My doctor says by 6 months I should be able to eat 3 -4 oz of protein a meal and 2 - 2 1/2 oz of veggies/fruit/carbs.

I am 6 mo out and can eat about 3/4 to a cup of food at a time. It depends on what it is. If its dense like meat, a little less.
