Has anyone noticed that their periods have changed after their sleeve surgery?
I haven't had my surgery yet, but I'm pretty sure I saw a thread within the last couple days talking about this and there were many who have experienced changes - missed periods shortly after, quickly getting it again, longer, shorter - you name it. I believe you're not alone if you're having issues.

Mine has change it was late and weird. Then my second one also started weird again but then like it used too. Cramps, backaches are the same. I think w all The weight we loose that's why we get fertile. I also weight myself and wasup 1.5 but I've heard during your period you gain weight.im on it right now ugh for the second time after surgery. I will keep a calendar handy to track my dates. It did change a little. Just try to stay hydrated & get much protein.
Mine were crazy for a while! Heavier, more frequently, horrible cramps. I talked to my doctor, he said that when you are heavier sometimes your hormones go into a dormant cycle. The weight loss kicks everything in high gear. He also said this causes us to be extremely fertile! ! He stressed birth control for atleast 18 months after surgery. It also caused horrible acne for me. I am about 9 months out from surgery. It got really bad for me about 5 months out, but is starting to get better. So has my hair loss. hope this helps.
had mine two weeks early on surgery day, then had it again two weeks later...then had it AGAIN two weeks after that. not fun. now i seem ok.

Ugh! I really hope they change for me because I get mine once a year and my on wants me to take provera and that does horrible things lol.
I stopped my birth control 3 months before having surgery so that was late June and I haven't had a period!! I made an appt with Gyne. I am happy to say I am not really worried about it. I can surely live without the period! The doctors told me the same the my body is going through all kinds of changes being off the pill, then having surgery etc. Still want to make sure everything is ok. Best of luck to each and every one of you!
