You might also want to try Unjury unflavored whey - it can be put in clear liquids and does not have taste.

UNJURY HAS AND UNFLAVORED PROTEIN POWDER...I use this in my coffee in the morning and my chai tea at night. I think it changes the taste a little, but I use the flavored liquid stevia in vanilla or cinnamon to take some of the protein taste away. It wasn't like my Starbucks...but a good low cal/low fat subsitute while I learn to make healthy changes!

To answer a question above, sorry, I'm late on this, but yeah I was drinking the protein shakes for six months prior to surgery. I think it has helped.
But, right now I am struggling to get my 100 grams of protein a day. I'M NOT HUNGERY so I have to watch the clock. Lots of gas.
About Ll I can say at this point is to try a few things and find what you like. I'm thinking those shots mentioned above would work and will try them. I'm very tired today not drinking enough water nor protein. I tell ya I will be happy to get past this liquid diet thing.
Best of luck to you in you journey. Just follow your Dr's orders.

LIQUID OPTION: TACO SOUP - my new favorite!
I was so tired of having broth - my daughters were eating tacos - Mexican - love, love, love!!

Liquid Taco Soup 5 minutes on the stove
    1 can broth
    1 can tomato sauce
    taco seasoning to taste

Sitting with a mug of taco soup, I'm feeling happy!!! I can sip on this all night! Warm and spicy, I'm going to sip on this all night! Give it a try.

    I used: Swansons 100% Chicken broth = 15cal, 2gr protein per cup
S & W tomato sauce = 80 cal, no real protein per cup so that's 48 cal in a cup

    .

I just made cream of chicken soup, Campbell's healthy request.

Empty 1 can into saucepan, add 1 scoop of Unjury chicken broth protein powder & 1 can of cold water.
Mix thoroughly and keep stirring until it comes to a boil.
Remove immediately from heat, serve and eat. Yummy!

Tip: if you add the protein and mix it with cold water and then heat while continuously stirring, it does not clump. If you add the powder to hot, it will clump!

I am in the full liquid phase now, for another 10 or so days. My goal is 2.5 quarts of liquid (including shakes) and 50-70 grams of protein a day. Some days I make it YAYYYYYY!!! Some days I haven't BOO! The things that have helped me that I want to pass on, is having a blender or Vitamix! I try to limit my canned soups because of high sodium, but I have about 3 cans a week! I found if I put split pea with ham in my VITAMIX emulsifier blender with heated water and blend for 6 minutes, i have smooth yummy soup with no chunks, and without adding anything you get a whopping 10 g of protein! I also found Tomato Bisque by campbell's and blend that with 1 can of hot water and yummmmmm! if you don't have a Vita Mix, Blendtec or Montel Willaims emulsifying blender, and you use a traditional blender, make sure to check for chunks or strain them out of your soup. Cheese cloth works also if you don't have a strainer. I went to Sam's Club, wholesale buying club and got 30g protein shakes. I put 1/2 cup spinach, some cucumber, scoop of unflavored protein powder, 1/2 banana, 1/2 apple and 1 stalk of celery, added my chocolate 30 gram protein shake with ice, and Vitamix turned it into a nutritious yummy thin pureed power shake! I'm excited with my new toy, can you tell? You can also do this with a blender, but I'd do it one thing at a time. Put Spinach and enough water to liquify it and blend till it's green liquid. then strain, and work on celery with some water, then your fruit with some water so all is pureed and you add your liquid shake and all the yummy raw goodness you liquified and liquify some more. then add ice to thicken like an ice cold milkshake This first 20 days are for health, no leaks, and a mind changing attitude about food! I am hoping I can do this the right way and I hope these ideas work! I'll post more as I find more things to tell you about. OH! Sugar free Fudgecicles and Sugarfree Tropical popcicles ROCK! -Kitty

I'm going to start green juices this week with added protein. My hubby recently bought an awesome juicer that can do just about anything except wash itself - lol.

It's so good to be on the other side!

Michelle, I am loving my green juices! You tube has a lot of Raw Food enthusiasts, I have gotten some great Green Smoothie or Green Juice recipes from You Tube. Search there or I would be happy to swap recipes. Add a vanilla or chocolate protein shake to it and some ice to make it ice creamy like and I'm set! I think it gives me more energy and iron especially with the added veggies!

I got a container of unflavored protein powder 100% whey protein at GNC store. I add a can of soup to my blender (say tomato soup) get a pot holder for the empty can, fill the can of water with boiling or very hot hot water, add (with the pot holder since the can is as hot as the water!!) the full can of water to the blender, then 1 scoop of protein powder. Blend and liquify with your blender, maybe even as long as 3 to 4 minutes. when it looks nice and smooth, pour in a cup to drink or bowl to eat with a spoon. I haven't been able to notice a difference in taste from the protein powder. If you want, start with 1/2 a scoop of protein powder to see. It tastes sooo good! yummers!

GNC has a whey protein powder that is flavorless i just added it to my soup yesterday and it tasted great. TIP: don't put protein powder in anything that is to hot because it will flash cook the protein and make it very clump. also don't mix the protein first then microwave. the protein will float to the top and cook. so you get the same clumps.
    Hope this helps.
