For the pureed stage, does the ricotta bake need to go in the blender?
Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm having my surgery Oct. 18th and the pureed food stage is the one I'm dreading the most. Liquids, and protein shakes I can do. Pureed stuff? Not so much. The consistency of applesauce and thick soups makes me gag. Some of the suggestions I've seen here seem manageable though.
Today is the first day I've been able to tolerate pureed food, before that my stomach was just too tender. I love cooking and baking so made a good old fashioned chicken noodle soup with homemade bone broth. The bone broth is great for your gut flora too. Anyway when the soup was ready I pureed my portion with an immersion blender. Noodles and all! I can't believe how satisfying and comforting just a cup of warm soup could be. And after nearly 3 weeks with only liquid it was heavenly. To actually feel full has lifted my spirits and my mood. I was so tired of sipping on overly sweet protein drinks and water all day every day. Actually looking forward to eating puree again tomorrow!
Today I had cream of wheat with 1/8 teaspoon of butter and sugar free Torani brown sugar flavoring. So yummy!!
I’m now able to tolerate thicker pureed food, so tomorrow I’m goong to try the ricotta bake with homemade tomato sauce!
Thank you for so many useful comments!
Hello everyone, thanks for the recipes, I want to try everything
