4 months post op and ready for Thanksgiving

i am officially 4 months post op and down 62lbs. my next weight in is the Monday after Thanksgiving and my goal is to be out of the 300lb range. Knowing that i can't eat more than 4-6oz of food has me actually lloking forward to the holidays in a different way. Instead of focusing on eating all of that great food i can enjoy my family and just nibble on everything!!

You are doing great keep it up thats the best way to go into these food based events look at the time you used to spend eating now you can spend with family

I completely agree with you! I am really excited to focus on the TURKEY this year instead of everything else... I mean, there's some serious protein in that delicious bird! I won't have to cook for a week! :-) But in all seriousness, I will be enjoying my family and friends first and foremost. And eating turkey..

I totally agree with you - its nice to know our tummies will stop us from gorging.

Thank you guys for your replies!! The best part about this surgery for me is that I have developed a much different relationship with food and have learned to really savor the little bit I do get to eat instead of missing the seconds and thirds! Can't wait for that Turkey and Macaroni and Cheese even if it is only a spoonful!!
