Well day4 post-sleeve!

Have spent the 1st 2 days absolutely miserable but they finally took the catheter and NG tube out yesterday and am a lot more happy and comfortable!

Had my swallow test today and have the all clear to start drinking!!! Yeah!!

Because my surgery took ages (8hours) the dr is wanting me to take everything slowly, doesn't look like I will get out of here till Wednesday at the earliest.

I had really sore feet after the surgery because it took so long they are all bruised as apparently they are in stirrups for the length of the op with all your weight on them! No wonder they are sore

But am starting to feel human again and looking forward to continuing this weight loss journey!

Welcome to the other side Liz. One day at a time. Rest up and be waited on and spoilt. Sore feet? nah didn't have that. hmm. You are on the way down those scales.

Sounds like you've made it through the hardest part. To think I thought my surgery was long at 3 hours. 8 hours is crazy. Glad to hear you ate doing better one day at a time.

Wow???/ 8 hours? I went to Dr Almanza in Mexico and it was 45 mins max.. we were 16 on that day....

Yeah, I couldn't believe it either but Apparently I had masses of adhesions from my two previous bands and my liver and spleen were all stuck to my stomach! His normal surgery time is an hour!

Well then glad that's over for you! And it does sound like they had a mess to clean up from that darned "crapband"...glad you are done and on the mend. Also good to hear they are being cautious and keeping you for a while. Hope you are able to get up on those feet soon!

You are so strong for getting through that amount of surgery time. So proud of you!
I had my sleeve done the day after you. We should keep in touch about stuff. I'm in WA.
