Constant Diarrhea!!!

I had my surgery Sept 24. During my sleeve surgery, I also had my gall bladder removed, due to gall stones. I have the same issue since my surgery. I have found any milk based protein shake is problematic. I also have to be careful with cheese, yogurt etc. I am getting my protein from my food and Isopure. I plan on getting almond milk and coconut milk based yogurt. I am still getting used to eating real food so everything is a learning process. My surgeons office recommended rice and bananas.

It seems many after having the sleeve has problems with milk product. I had issue with some milk products before the surgery. Coconut milk is my friend! Congratulations on your journey!!!!

Im 6 weeks out and I feel great but for the constant and immediate Diarrhea ive had since Week 2 post surgery. My doctor tried to tell me that it's constipation but highly doubt its that. So far, Lobster Bisque, Fish Dip and Hummus (literally just 2 small spoonfuls) cause me to get IMMEDIATE stomach cramps and head to the bathroom. I am keeping a diary now of the foods that set me off. I'm thinking that maybe I should go see a Gastro to see if this is IBS. This is not something new to me as I have always had a screwy stomach, but after the surgery its pretty much diarrhea 4 days out of the week. Maybe immodium will do it.

if ur able to eat a small amount of steamedor boiled rice, it will help greatly with the dia. that is if its just plain ole dia. if u cant , then drink the juice from the rice. also, welchs grape juice will help with dia. both will give u strength if u can do this. hope u will get better soon

I'm 10 months post op (revision from lap band) and have lost 70 lbs. 30 more to go. I have chronic diarrhea. It seems to be getting worse. I've just lived with it, until I had a near mishap on the golf course today. Going to my Dr. tomorrow to see what she says. I will probably incorporate some of the tips from this thread as well, e.g. giving up protein shakes, vitamins, and trying to eat some rice. Giving up dairy is pretty much a last resort. I welcome other suggestions from people who have had success in fixing this problem.

It eventually stops 3 mos in. I found out that I was lactose intolerant. You'll be happy by month 4-6 post op
