That is why I fit into a size 4. I have a size 8 gap jeans that I bought 20 years ago and it fits the same as a size 4 pants.

I think it depends on the brand, I know that gap and lee jeans def have vanity sizing. I am size 4 in some jeans and high as 6 in others.

That makes so much more sense! I knew that years ago when I weighed about 150ish that back then I wore a 10-12. Explains that how at 189 I'm now wearing a 12 again. Oh well, as long as it's smaller than it was a few months ago, all is good!

Yup, when I was barely 100 lbs (post High School) I was a size 1. Now more than 30 lbs heavier I'm only a 5? (ish)

Yep, that explains why I'm a size 2 at the moment and still have 10 pounds to lose. I thought for sure the smallest I would be even at goal was a 6.
