Default 3 weeks out of Thighs, Tummy, and Breast surgery

I am feeling much better as far as healing goes, but cannot believe the stamina issue. I get exhausted so very quickly. Do a load of laundry... plop into the recliner. Unload dishwasher... recliner.

The number one issue though, is I am BORED out of my mind! I can't believe I have 3 more weeks before I'm released back to my life.

My boobs are perky though, so there's an upside.

I had the second surgery done at the same place I was sleeved... Puget Sound Surgical Center in Edmunds, WA. I love everyone that works there, they are all amazing. Cost for all 3 was just under $20,000 including the anesthesia. I was under for 7 hours or so.

Recovery mode is supposed to last 6 weeks, which I took with a grain of salt. I was thinking 4 or so. But I can see what they mean! If you have a mostly sitting job I think you could go back after 3 or 4. I'm a teacher (on feet all day) so I won't even tackle it until 6 weeks out. But I'm a substitute teacher, so I just am not taking jobs right now. That makes it easier.

Did you get a medical loan to pay for it? I am asking because I really don't want to pay $20k out of pocket all at once.

Going to wait it out and see what will need TWEEKING ... my BOOBS hang low now where I can throw them over my shoulder like that song goes.. BUT they were working boobs for 3 kids.. ha ha I think my main problem will be my thighs.. not looking foward to that.. size 7 junior.. I think that was my first pair of jeans when i was a toddler.. lol . So happy for you.....glad the "girls" are wide awake for you now.. lol

I am so happy for you! I want to have some work done too but can't right now. Just to expensive. I'll be 60 years old in February and I've lost 89 lbs. I'm exercising an hour 5 days a week running 3-4 miles and doing some resistance training on the machines too. I told my husband what hadn't tightened up by my bd I was having sucked out, chopped off or lifted up! lol..... seriously though, that is my plan. I just hope I can get it done. You look fabulous! Thanks for sharing your story.

    Hey there!

i lost about 110 lb, gone from a size 22/24 to a size 6 yaaaaaaaaaay! life is awesome
BUT i have A LOT of loose skin hanging from my butt & thighs, so i need to get all that excess skin chopped off cuz no matter how hard i exercise & i already exercise everyday, it will not go away, it's just too much ..........so i had a couple of questions plz:

1- For a lower body lift only (butt & thighs), was it painful?
2- How long is the bed rest?
3- How long is the stay in the hospital?
4- How many weeks do i need to take off work?
5- When can i resume normal activities (drive, sit in an office, .....)?
6- When can i exercise again?
7- What is the hardest part?
8- How much will that procedure only cost?

so sorry for all the questions, i hope i'm not prying, but i would really appreciate ur answers

    thanx again

People do not realize what stress plastic surgery is on the body. I had tummy and arms done and then later breasts with lift. The pain was not bad at all...it was the fatigue! I coordinate for a Plastic Surgeon in Tijuana. People write me all the time and want to know, if say, they have a tummy and thighs, can they return to work within two weeks???????????? Whaaaaaaaat? Or, some want thighs, arms, tummy and breasts all done at once...my surgeon would never even do that. People don't understand. Especially, when your body just went through the stress of a major weight loss. I try to tell them to take it a step at a time, but, like most of us...they are impatient. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE....if you do it right and safely, it IS worth it in the end...I love having a better body than I did when I was 20!
