Approved ..... KINDA

So, as a lot of you suggested, I called the insurance company to see if they received the paperwork. I spoke to a nice lady on Tuesday... She said yep, they rec'd it on 9/12, and sent out the APPROVAL letter on 9/17. So here I sit on 9/27 with NO letter. She says they sent out a copy of the letter to the Dr's Office on the same day. So I call the Bariatric Center I'm working with, and they've received nothing. So, I decided I wanted to know the addresses they sent the letters to, because really, one of us should have received something in 10 days. so I called back on Wednesday. Another nice lady again advised they sent it out and confirmed it was approved. She said my address is what they have and confirmed a mailing address for the doctor.

So I asked her to please send a duplicate copy as MY LETTER IS LOST!! I think they sent the approval to the actual Dr's office and not the Bariatric Center, so no one knows where this is. Anyway, I just had to vent.... when I should be happy, I'm irritated. I mean, I can't book the date with the Dr, until I have proof of the letter, and I can't find time off from a rapidly filling up vacation calendar at work until I have the date.

C'Mon people... get your crap together... this girl wants to get SLEEVED!!!

Well Congrats! But why not have them email it to you! or fax to Doc. Eitherway way to go...PS they dont need the letter to get things rolling just the verbal! So keep pushing! =-)

Stay on them As with all ins co they dont want to make things easy for us. Yahoo for the approval. Good luck w the next steps.

I did ask if she could email or fax...she said no. So I'm giving it through Monday, and will start calling again. I'm so happy to be approved, just frustrated I can't schedule. My Dr. Office wants the letter in hand before scheduling :-(
