Post op working out

how long after the surgery can you resume working out like ab and strength work with weights....

My doctor said a couple of months before anything that strains the torso (i.e. anything where you hold your breath during exertion).

I'm guessing 3-4 wks since we're not allow to lift more than 15lbs or bend for that time

I was walking for about a month after surgery then he told me I could run and light weights but no situps. Situps and abs took me 2 months to get release for.

I was walking a mile the day I got home and 4 miles at 2 weeks dont know about weights I am a walker

ok. i just know that how much loose skin i have will depend a lot on burning fat and i dont want to have too much of that so i went to get to high intensity cardio and weights as soon as i can.

I got released to do any type of exercise, including abs and what not, after a month!
