Let the countdown begin

So I have been in the planning process and doing all the requirements since the beginning of August well this past week I got an official date and its actually starting to feel real!!

I am looking forward to this new journey in life and the new things it will bring into my life! I am nervous as hell but hopefully I can find support here and through out my community and family!

If you live in Texas I would love to hear from ya and even if not I would love to hear from ya and maybe be able to talk amongst each other.

Welcome and congrats on your surgery date!! It will be here before you know it. I am just over 3 months out and it is the best decision I have ever made for my health!!

Congrats on your surgery date! I am in Texas and we definitely can chat. I am 4 weeks post op and I am down 31 lbs!! It's been a journey but one I am really happy to be on!

How did you get inside my head? I am feeling the same way! I just found out last week that my surgery date is set for October 15th. I live in California but I would love to hear from you. Stay encouraged!

Hi, Staphaknee! I am in Texas, also. I had my surgery in Arlington at MCA on May 2, 2011. Since then, I have lost 120 pounds. I am still losing at 16 months post-op, but it is going very slowly now. I eat just about whatever I want now, just not so much of it. My surgeon was Jason Harrison. He is an extremely gifted surgeon who I would want operating on me no matter what kind of surgery I was having.

I would be glad to chat with you about anything. We are all here to support you and answer your questions. Let us know how you are doing.

I will be getting my sleeve a couple of weeks before you. I think we all experience the same anxieties, but when you read the wonderful and encouraging posts here it is very reasuring! Good luck and we are all rooting for you!
