Weight loss before surgery?

I'm just wondering how much weight you all lost pre op? I'm currently in my 3rd month of the pre op diet and I'm hoping I'm losing weight like I should. Any help?

I lost 30lbs pre-op.... it took me 7 weeks. But I was super anxious to get surgery ASAP and the weight loss was the only obstacle standing in my way. So I worked hard, going to the gym at least 3 times a week and sticking to a 800-900 calorie a day diet of lean meats and green veggies. Also for breakfast I had things like eggs, dannon light and fit yogurt and No-sugar-added carnation instant breakfast. I allowed myself a cheat meal once a week, usually Saturdays for dinner. Things like pizza, or dessert... But I never went overboard and kept my portions small. Hope this helps.... Good luck on your impending journey. You can do anything you set your mind to

I joined Curves, and ate like I had the sleeve (practice run). I did it for about 4 months, and lost 25 lbs. I felt like it was a good idea, and the doc said it made my surgery, and recuperation a little easier. Good luck!

I lost 38 pounds 3 and half months before sugery. I did it by exercising and eating smaller portions.Good luck you on your journey.

I had to loose at least 30 lbs before surgery that was roughly 10% of my pre surgery weight. I lost 32.... My doctor said it was to shrink my liver before surgery and she would not do surgery if my liver was enlarged. Every Dr is different you may want to ask your surgeon so there are no surprises..... I lost 20lbs pre-op in 4 weeks. I had 2 protein shakes a day and 1 Lean Cuisine dinner plus one low cal snack. No exercise and I cheated 3 days badly (birthday cake, chocolate bars & candy, fast food).

I got sleeved 2 weeks after I made the decison to do it. I binged up till 3 days prior to surgery, only needed to do 3 day pre op diet. All my weight lost is post sleeve.
