    Default Blogs vs Forum Threads?

I feel silly asking, but I'd rather ask than just wonder, what's the difference. I mean I see the forums and blogs link up top on the menu, but what's the real difference? Are blgos more tweeterish or facebookish vs specified threads within the forum?

This is what I know. The forums are a place where everyone comes to ask questions, share what's going etc. Blogs are more an individual thing. I "plan" to start a blog when I start my journey, getting a surgery date and all. I think of a blog as 1 person writes about how their life is going, kinda like a diary. People then can subscribe to it, read it and comment on. More intimate I think. Hope that helps.

I have never read the blogs, only the forums. I like the back and forth conversations.

I read both but like the forums better. If it's a slow news day on the forums I hit the blogs, etc.

I use my blog to keep a record of what's happening. Blogs are best when used as "stories about me" that are meant to be read by people interested in you.

If you want to know all about my journey? Read my blog.

Forums are like sitting in a room and chatting with people. Asking questions and getting answers. It's more loose and everyone has ownership.

I like to chat in the forums, but when I run across people who I want to know better, I go read their blog (if they have one.)

A blog is like a book. The forum is like a bullettin board.

    Hope that helps.

Blogs are a way for a person to journal about themselves. It allows them (and others) to read their story in a chronological way, which isn't easily possible in the same way on the forum.

So the forum is like a bunch of online conversations, blogs are like a bunch of public diaries.

I mostly just post on the forum, but when I am struck by something that feels strongly relevant to my personal journey and/or I want to be able to find it to make reference to it in the future, I put it in my blog.
