Have you used Dr. Ponce de Leon or Dr. Garcia?

Hello,
Right now I am trying to decide between these two Drs. If you used either one, can you post a reply answering 1) How much weight have you lost? 2)How many days/months since surgery? 3) Did you have any complications? 4) How many other patients had surgery when you did? (How many does the Dr do per day).

I don't think using any particular doctor is going to dictate how much weight you lose or whether or not you have complications. Please don't base your decision on answers to these questions.

I'm gathering information. I didn't mean to infer that the Dr. I choose will be the determining factor on how much weight I am going to lose. LOL. That is up to me when it comes down to it. But bougie size, skills, preference of the surgeon etc. can play a part in the final outcome. As for the complications, there is wisdom in finding out if say Dr X's patients always have a particular complication and if that is a trend I plan on making myself aware of it before I make a decision.

I agree that how much weight we lose is up to us! I went to Dr. Garcia and was very happy with my experience. There were others there that had Dr. Lopez and Dr. Osuna and they were very happy too. I did get to meet them when I was there because they work at the same hospital as Dr. Garcia. They were my second choice. I've also heard good things about Dr. Ponce de Leon so I'm sure you will be fine with either one.

Hi, Dr. Ponce was my surgeon. Its been 7.5 months since my surgery and I have lost 89 lbs. I am below my original goal. No complications at all. I wad the only sleeve that day but Dr. Ponce had other surgeries that day.

Hi...did u decide in a doctor? I was also trying to choose between the 2. I decided on Dr. Ponce. Just wondering aloi have u had surgery?

Thanks for the info... I havent seen alot with Dr.Ponce as theirs but I have only heard great stuff from the ppl who have used him. Did he have you only do a three day pre diet of Yougart and water?

I want a cool name like Dr Ponce de Leon. He sounds like a Bond villain (don't let that put you off having surgery with him tho).

Crack up. Best one yet though - not a Dr. but a name of someone at the office - and one that delivers a giggle is "Bimbo". Yep, that's his name. Beginning, middle and end. Just the one name - and a bad one at that. Tres amusing, never get tired of giggling at that one.
