Is there any way to get together some FAQs of the most commonly asked questions? I'd be happy to help w/ this project.
Yea we used to have that, I will have this added to the site again. You can start writing here the common questions and answers. Then when its ready we will paste them in.
Great idea! I think it's essential to have a disclaimer at the very beginning of the thread though, that goes something like this:
While everyone on this site provides fantastic emotional support and dietary advice to each other, in the end it's STRONGLY encouraged that you always, ALWAYS listen to what your medical team says FIRST, regardless of what someone may or may not be doing here on these forums. As many have noticed, pre-op and post-op plans can vary GREATLY from surgeon to surgeon (i.e. some say NO to gummy vitamins and others say they're OK), so please keep this in mind as you read. Thank you!
(...or something like that. Tweak as you wish. I realize not everyone that has had surgery can regularly get advice from their doctor once they head home, but I still think it's important to note at the start of the thread.)

Okay, I will start working on some FAQs but what would help for me right now is for everyone to submit what they think are the most frequently asked questions to this thread.
If lee agrees, I will write the FAQ and ask her for her input (as she is available, she's a busy woman) as a sort of editorial process so it's not just my 100% opinion writing the FAQs. lee's got a lot of expertise w/ being sleeved as well as practical experience working in a hospital and I find her opinions quite helpful.
I would ask everyone but then it might would too long to write each FAQ. (Trust me, I've done projects like this before.) However, when the FAQs are done to our satisfaction I might ask for more input, there's a lot of good expertise out here!
Didn't see this until today, but I'd be more than happy to give you input! Message me anytime

Thank you so much! These will keep me busy for awhile
. One thing I wonder about, however, as the answers to most questions can be found w/ a search already which most folks won't do I think the FAQs need to be prominately displayed on the website, like the first thing you see. Otherwise we'll end up w/ some FAQs and the same questions.
Suggestions forthcoming
I guess you missed the second post in this thread?
Thank you and no guessing, was missed and it's good to see the increased admin responsiveness on here lately .
To the OP I have some suggestions and also willing to assist if needed. Will post my idea this evening, tough on phone.
I've done some writing and lee and I have talked but we've both concluded that FAQs would be incongruous with the design and culture of this site as it is now...It would need to be set up differently and that's a huge undertaking for anyone. Perhaps when Mediahound is ready to make the changes she mentioned it might be more feasible.
