Gastric Sleeve Hopeful At UCLH

Hi,

I am new to this website. I am, hopefully, going to have the gastric sleeve op at UCLH. I have seen the dietician, nurse and surgeon (in March 11), but have got to wait until May 18th before I see the Psych Department. The surgeons have told me that they are not sure whether they will do the Gastric Sleeve or Bypass yet. I am hoping for the Sleeve, but will not know until after the surgery. I am really scared about both types of op as I have heard about so many people having problems post-op. I believe that the surgeons are discussing my case this week, so hopefully I will find out soon, whether I will get the go ahead for the op or not! If anybody has had this op at UCLH, please let me know how it went and how long it will take before I get a date for surgery. I could really do with some friendly advice through this!!

Thank you to all that have welcomed me to the forum! Has anybody had either the Gastric Bypass or Gastric Sleeve at UCLH or is anyone waiting to have it at UCLH?
