From what I have learned through reading and other forums, you must be morbidly obese, and have a Body Mass Index of 35 and over,OR at least be 100lbs, 45 kilos, over your healthy weight. The patient would usually qualify with a lower BMI when Co-Morbidities are present, eg diabetes type 2, high blood pressure, heart disease, high cholestrol etc.
Everyone would be different, and would need to be aware, that with any WLS, it is only a tool and dietary guidelines need to be followed and you need to be willing to work with the team, dietician, Exercise physiologist and sometimes psychologist( spelling). It isn't a magical cure.
Thank you Sandy, I have updated the FAQ.
