I started my Stage 3 diet about 3 weeks postop. I ate eggs, refried beans, oatmeal, deli meats soaked in a broth ... I even had meatloaf that I cooked in a slow cooker and then pureed with a serving of mashed potato! The key is to make whatever you are eating moist enough to puree into a soft, mushy morsel that you can eat in small doses!

I started my purees 2 weeks postop. I eat beans, chicken, tuna, and eggs. I bought a rotissere chicken, took the skin off, and cut it up really fine. I mix 2oz chicken with 1 oz of black beans ( pureed) and put some laughing cow queso chipolte light cheese in it and that is really good.

I started after 2 1/2 weeks. Dr. told me just make sure it is a fine puree. Met with the dietician today and she said starting Monday I can go on full puree, at the 3 week mark.
