    You better not.
I'm also only a few days out and already dying for some food texture.
I know how you feel, but we have to tough it out and focus on the long term goal.

I was on full liquids upon being released from the hospital and pureed at 7 days out. New protocol.
But salad? Do you really want to scrape up your healing tummy like that? I think not.
How about some black bean soup blended till there are no lumps? Some beef broth with soft noodles and carrots blended together? Pea soup?
Just, please, no raw veggies so soon!
    Hugs

I was living on protein shakes, strained soups and sf popsicles at 6 days out, don't push your stomach or i'm afraid you'll regret it! We have to progress back into "real foods" for a reason, the inside of your stomach is raw and very sensitive right now. If your meal plan will allow it try some thin creamed soups (cream of chicken, cream of potato strained) to get more flavor but don't try chewing and swallowing things yet, the only thing i chewed was my gummy vitamins those first couple weeks. Most importantly listen to your stomach, if you do try to eat food and it hurts you need to stop what you're trying and go back to your liquids, it will let you know if it's to soon for something!! My daughter knew the things i couldn't eat as soon as i did because it hurt and it got "the look" on my face, it's very strange to think of your stomach as it's own entity right now but it's in charge and you have to do what it wants you to do!! Good luck!!

Hey Lisa. I understand how you feel. I am 12 dys out and I'm still on full liquids and will be for 17 more days. My MD kept me on clear liquids for 9 days, and I'm on full liquids for 3 weeks, so my stomach will heal properly before he'll even allow me to do pureed foods. I want to eat food so badly, but I don't want to end back up in the hospital from causing my new stomach to leak from not following protocol, so I stick to the thinned out creamed soups or yogurt thinned out with my french vanilla protein shake.

We have made it this far. You can totally do this!!! Hang in there and keep your eyes ont he prize. Remember, you can do this!

No to salad, but strained cream soups made a huge difference for me, and runny grits are a God send! Sweets are really hard for me so anything savory is a big hit!

NO, NO, No, and NO! If you MUST chew something, raw vegetables should be the very last thing you pick. But try to hang in ther and resist the urge. This phase is temporary and by eating real food you could cause damage to your not yet healed sleeve. Remember to keep your eye on the prize!
