I completed my first ever 5 k race this morning with my two teenage daughters and my friend! While my time was a bit slower than I usually run, I finished the whole race without walking and didn't die at the end!

Good luck! It was an experience, I discovered that the nerves got the best of me in the first mile, but it was a good race. I plan to do another one soon.

Thank you all! It feels good to have finished...but then they posted the times/standings...my girls were 13th and 15th overall (out of 900) and took 1st and 2nd in their age group! I was 263rd overall =( but took 11th in my age group...which I guess when you look at it that two months ago, I couldn't run AT ALL and I came in before 700 other people...I guess I didn't do too badly!
Believe in yourself and you will all be able to do it too if you want to...some people just don't like to run and I can understand that =)url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wjExvvh/]
