Default #rd week and 4th week out stall

OK, I KNOW to expect a stall this soon into my journey. I KNOW that the body is readjusting. I KNOW that I should have taken my inches prior to surgery, because even though I may not be loosing weight, I am probably loosing inches. I KNOW all this because this seems to be the pattern for so many people. I KNOW that if I don't get enough calories and protein (around 800 per day) I'll probably not loose weight, so I've started on protein bars.

However, although I KNOW all this, I'm a little freaked and thinking that maybe I'm the exception and the sleeve surgery will have been a big fat joke on me. I have been tracking my food religiously on MY FITNESS PAL and an struggling to get in all the food I need. Just needing a little support and encouragement. Please tell me this will work and has not been a total waste of money, time and energy. I have been so good thus far!!

It will work I just got off of a 3 week stall and have lost 10 pounds in a week. But I am averaging about losing 10 pounds a month. Keep doing the right thing with eating and exercise and it will work for you. I would bet my life that you are not the exception. Take care and stop stressing.

I had these irrational thoughts too! But than I sat back thought it through and realized I'm just not THAT special LOL The only person in the whole world who the sleeve doesn't work for? I don't think so.... Are you that special? I mean, I'm sure you're a very special person, just not that special. Hehe. Sounds like you're doing everything right, stalls come and go... we just have to wait them out. As much as they suck, the free-falls in between are pretty darn awesome. So just keep the faith and keep pushing the water and protein. BTW - make sure your protein bars are as low as possible in carbs or they may be counter-productive. Good luck!!!!

Your not alone . We all have gone threw a stall period. I just stalled for 27 days. Its fustrating & I was angry ,felt the same way. When your body goes threw big changes . Some times it goes into shock. You will pass the stall period. We have all been in your shoes.

Thanks to all of you. That's what I needed to hear!! In my heart I know this should work. It's my mind that's screwing me around, while by body is still adjusting to the shock I have inflicted upon it!!
Stay the course!! Stay off the scales too, is a good idea me thinks!!

I feel the same as you. I keep thinking I'm the exception to the rule and that somehow after being three weeks post op, my stomach has started stretching. I know I'm crazy but this process is just as hard as if we didn't have the sleeve. Good blessings on your journey.

Don't let those irrational doubts control what you know in your rational thoughts - that you are doing everything right - therefore you will continue to lose in time. Hang in there and keep doing the right thing, it will give you confidence even when the scale isn't moving. Exercise, track, drink water, eat well. Look for NSVs, I bet you will find them, especially in your measurements. These will also give you confidence and confirmation that things are going in the right direction.
