    Default Daily Exercise-You Getting Any?

This is just a check in thread for those who like a little accountability to go along w/ their exercise to get them going/keep them going.

Since I made this thread I better get to it!

(Decided to do it later in the afternoon when I get home. Y'all hold me to it!)

I am! I've not been doing as much as I need to, since I've never been an exerciser and have hated it, I'm now ready to move my workout to 5 days a week!!! What a difference a year makes!

I tried to do something everyday. Usually it is an hour aerobic class, weight training class or elliptical. It definitely has helped me maintain the weightloss.

Absolutely, everyday I've walked, can't do much more than that per doctors orders right now, but look forward to the gym.

I haven't gotten any in about 2 weeks now, and I'm getting rather pissed off about it. This pesky poison ivy, and then I broke out in awful hives all over my body... been on steroids for about 2 weeks and I'm still itchy as hell! Been avoiding exercising because sweating and the increase in body temp REALLY elevates my symptoms... I used the elliptical last week on Tuesday for 45 minutes. Afterwards, I was incredibly itchy for the rest of the evening, even after taking a shower, and the next day my entire abdomen and face erupted in huge hives! I've had to go to the doctor twice so far. SO ANNOYING. I hate that this is preventing me from exercising! It seems like it's finally calming down (even though I'm still itchy as hell), but I'm not going to do anything to aggravate it until it's completely cleared up

I too hate to exercise . Am doing it seven days a week. Walk six miles in the morning. Then I hit the gym for two hours. I just want to get to my goal asap. Then it will just be a few days a week.

Poor Lee. Hope you feel better soon. Have you tried swimming instead?

I'm afraid to get in the pool due to potential for infection. I try not to scratch, but I have a little so my skin in some areas may be broken. The last thing I need is an infection on top of the itching lol, as over-chlorinated as the community aquatic center may be!

And I feel like I should at least make an effort to stay on track with this thread, so here is my regular exercise regime, which I will be taking up again as soon as I can:

2 times a week with at least 1 day of rest in between: Weight lifting at the gym for 45 minutes (I mainly do circuit training, but use free weights for biceps and pectorals as well).
3-5 times a week, but usually 3: either 45 minutes on the ellipitcal at a vigorous pace, or 45-60 minutes of cycling on the canal path near our house (entire ride is about 10 miles total, riding at about 13.5 mph).

My ultimate goal is to do some exercise every day of the week, but right now I exercise or weight lift for a total of 5 days out of the week.

I did Zumba for an hour yesterday. I plan on going to the gym this evening after work. I'm a little exhausted but it's worth it.

I've slacked off exercise for the last couple of weeks. I've had 2 deaths in my family, and the services are churning up all kinds of old feelings; most of them not so positive. I've decided to stop "feeling sorry for myself", and get back on the exercise track.
Today: going to use free weights w/gravity ball exercises for my core, about 45 minutes at home today since hubby is off and we can actually have dinner together (he works evenings at a hospital)
Wed: water aerobics for one hour
    Thurs: weight machines/water aerobics (1 1/2 hours)
Fri: hoping to walk 3 miles, or some type of zumba

I try to switch up the exercise so I don't get bored. All the exercise isn't making as much difference on my inner thighs, so I just bought something that's like the old "thighmaster", but smaller. I'm also using it for the "bat-wings".. I'm thinking about a plastic surgery consult to see what's available for tightening up the old skin, but keep chickening out I'm not sure at this stage of my life, if another surgery, is advisable... Pondering on this..lol

My exercise routine is: MWF---60 minutes of weight machines (Cybex machines at local Y). I do everything except leg extensions (my orthopedist told me not to do them as they are hell on arthritic knees) and the chin up and dip machine. Then 45 minutes of water aerobics, 15 minutes swimming laps. Afterwards, I do the steam room and the hot tub ( my reward for doing everything else). TT---45 minute Zumba class. If we don't have class (like today), I walk on the treadmill for 45 minutes. SS not much on weekend. I try to walk around the patio early in the morning when it's relatively cool or ride the recumbent bike. I cannot believe this is me---I have always avoided exercise like the plague! Now, I just don't feel good if I miss my exercise!
