I was gonna go with the sleeve and decided on the bypass

I'm the oppisite. I was gonna have RNY but I opted for sleeve. Partially because I was not comfortable with the Dr. I was seeing, AND He was ripping me off making me go to the PCP and him each month, costing me $55 a month in co-pays. Not cool. My wife had RNY, and my cousin had the sleeve, so I knew kind of both area's. My wife can eat almost anything. Certain chicken does not sit with her. Like she cannot eat a chicken breast, but a chicken taco is fine. So I felt sleeve would be better. It's whatever suits you. One is not better then the other. I did not opt for the band, cause I am not making all the Dr visits afterwards.

I'm so glad I found this post. My surgery date is Aug 6, Im scheduled to have the sleeve. The past 2 or 3 weeks I have been in big doubt about my decision.
I was also wondering if this was normal to go through. Wow, this has been so helpful.
