    Default Chia Seeds

Have any of you ever tried them? If so, what's the good and the bad. I've been reading that they are supposed to be a super food, blah blah, blah, but thought I would ask here to get honest opinions about them.

Here's one of the articles I read... Chia: Ancient Super-Seed Secret | The Dr. Oz Show

I don't think I would eat a ton of these, but they might be a good supplement to add to our various foods. Here's some more that I read...
Chia seeds are a concentrated food containing healthy omega-3 fatty acids, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and calcium.

Chia seeds are an unprocessed, whole-grain food that can be absorbed by the body as seeds (unlike flaxseeds). One ounce (about 2 tablespoons) contains 139 calories, 4 grams of protein, 9 grams fat, 12 grams carbohydrates and 11 grams of fiber, plus vitamins and minerals.

People add them to all kinds of foods and even make a pudding of sorts out of them. May have to give them a try in a month or two.

I have them. I mix them into my oatmeal. They don't really taste like much but add a little texture. It's funny that they are the same seeds that were on thoes Chia Pets from back in day. Who knew? LOL

I was having them before my sleeve in my breakfast, even on toast! I like texture in food. I am 5 weeks post op and havent had them again yet as I am afraid they might swell a bit in my tummy?
Oh and I buy them at the stockfeeds (they use them on horses) for around half the price as health food store lol
