Day 3 Post op

If it were not for this unrelenting gas pain I would not even feel like I had surgery. I left the hospital yesterday and am back at the hotel. The doctor comes to see you here each morning for a couple of days. I had some excellent chicken broth and pineapple juice yesterday, and the husband and I are about to go for a walk and find some 'breakfast.' I am not hungry at all, haven't been since the day before surgery. I got 4 liters of fluids in the hospital, and that made me feel a lot better because I was pretty dehydrated. Thanks to everyone for all of the support on this forum - it has made the experience actually very positive. Feels like a new adventure every day!

Great to hear you are doing well. I am now 11 days postop. They key is walking and plenty of fluids. Enjoy the experience as your weight starts to fall off.

I had that gas pain in my left shoulder for two weeks. It was awful. A heating pad really helped me. I pretty much slept with it. Good luck with your recovery.
