I'm in Fort Myers.
That's great news! I am a self pay with him. Stupid question, where did you have the surgery done at? And did you have a private room? I can't imagine having to share a room. Especially if I am sick from being under. Maybe I am just being a baby
I honestly don't remember the hospital name but it was in Boca at the hospital that he does all of his surgeries at so I am sure it will be the same hospital. When you are with the pre op nurse ask for a private room at that time. I had a private room but I did ask for it and that is when they assign your room so make sure you ask at that time. Everyone was just great and you will be very happy with him. He did a 36 French bougie on me and he said there are few complications with that size. I had absolutely no complications and he checked on me several times while I was in the hospital. When you go to the hospital wear very loose clothes so you can wear them home. You will only be in them for a little bit so they will be clean to wear home, bring your toiletries, a pillow for your stomach when you are riding home, cell phone, chapstick, GasX strips and that's it. You will be wearing a hospital gown the whole time, use a 2nd one for a housecoat when you are walking around and the nonslip socks they give you. I brought my laptop but that was a joke because I was to loopy to use it. I can't even remember watching tv because I was out of it most of the time. When you get to your room post op ask the floor nurse for the flavored sponges to hydrate your lips and mouth.........they were a lifesaver to me!! Good luck and if you have any questions please feel free to ask me!
