How many days post op in hospital?

I had my surgery on Wednesday and was back to work on Monday.

For you guys who stayed 3 to 4 days, why did they keep you that long? Usually hospitals try and get you out asap.

I attended my information seminar tonight, and the liaison nurse for the program said one night stay for sleeves barring no complications, and two nights for bypass. I for sure want to take a sports bra, T-Shirt and yoga pants with me, because I work on the floor where the WLS patient's go and our doctor has them walking every two hours. I do not want to walk down the halls where people I work with can see the girls hanging free, and my butt flappin in the wind in those thin hospital gowns.

Hey im attending a information seminar on March 6,2013 and I want to know what was the next step after that so that I can plan ahead and get what I need to do because I am looking to have my surgery in May this year and May is right around the corner.

Hello my name is Traceye, I have considered the sleeve. I have one more session withthe dietician. thank you all so very much for posting your progress and post-op blogs.. i stayed 2 nights because i had low phosphorus of all things! i stayed home for 2 weeks from work. i do not regret the surgery at all, with that being said it has not been totally easy. there was never too much pain. follow the instructions given to you by the doctor it will make you feel more comfortable.

I had my surgery with Dr Kelly, he keeps you 2 nights at the hospital

how long after you completed your psch, nad dietician session did you recieve your surgery date? I am very anixous, my hubby is very scared, but as I told him this is a healthy decision for me.

I had my sleeve on Valentine's Day and I stayed 1 night and got out at 5pm the next day. It usually depends on your nausea and water intake. Good Luck!

My time was 3 nights in hospital. Op on Friday morning, home Monday afternoon. There is no way I could be back at work for another week. Just not possible or for me, sensible.
