    Talking A mile!

Okay, I have avoided this forum because I have not exercised in years. This morning I got up, drank my muscle milk (low fat, 100 cals, protein!), got my tennies on, and walked the neighborhood in 25 mins! I stopped once in the shade and took a breather but didn't feel bad at all! What a great feeling! I'm a little shaky but didn't eat until I got back. I had nearly a whole scrambled egg with a little cheese sprinkled on top. I had only been able to eat about half before. Anyway, slow but steady wins the race!

Congratulations on that mile! May it be the first of many many more. I am up to 3/4 for a mile six days a week and will try to increase to a mile next week. My husband walks with me, so that helps keep me on the straight and narrow. lol I use an exercise bike in the afternoon and can manage 15 min...barely. My body is in shock keeps wondering what I'm doing to it...ie. achy muscles and strange twitches. I am so proud of me and now I'm proud of you too. Good job!
