2 months post-op and best NSV yet...

went shopping with my daughter today at The Gap... saw some super cute shorts and thought, what the heck, I'll try them on, and they FIT!!! And the even better part, I can tell in another couple of weeks they will probably be too big... I bought them anyway!!! I haven't bought anything in a "regular" store in probably 7+ years... even in department stores I have only been able to shop in the Women's section (those lovely "X" sizes) and had quit shopping with my girlfriends because I was too embarrassed to admit nothing in the "regular" sections would fit me. Now my pocket book better look out because it felt FANTASTIC to walk in, browse around and find something IN STYLE that actually fit me. I haven't lost much weight in June, but the inches seem to continue to melt away... I think my body is playing catch up with the scale, but I'm just fine with that. Had the most stressful time in my life in the weeks following my surgery (non-surgery related) and I continued to loose weight... if not for my sleeve, I would have gained 20+ lbs... this surgery was absolutely the best decision I've ever made... I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!

Awesome Gina!!!! That is such a great feeling!! I'm not in regular sizes yet but I am getting there!!! I've gone from size 26 bottom to a 20 and am close to getting into an 18!! I can't wait to be able to walk into The Gap and buy jeans off the rack!!!

Alright, Gina!!! How cool is that!!!
My entire lower area (lower stomach and butt) is my trouble area. It's going down, but I've always had that bigger lower half, and it's the last to lose. But, my jeans sureeee have gotten baggy!

Diane, I was the exact same way... felt like at first every pound I lost was from the boobs up; however, this month, even though the scale hasn't been moving, I started shrinking from the waist down! Don't really know how it happened, but at this point, I don't really even care...LOL Just keep doing what you're doing and it will eventually start coming off as you can tell from your jeans starting to get baggy... at first I noticed a little big of sagging here and there and then last weekend, it literally felt like my jeans were going to slide off my hips when I walked!

Thats great news, I cant wait to be able to shop in regular stores and dress in stylish clothes!! Congrats I am getting sooo excited to have my surgery now :-). I dont think I am scared any more!!

Great to hear, Gina! I was talking to my son today about my baggy jeans - not only bagging in the thighs & lower butt..now they are even bagging in the mid-butt and gapping in the back of my waist! Maybe it will work it's way around front and come off the front side next! LOL!!

That's fabulous!! I can't wait!! I was soooo hoping to get my surgery much earlier so I could lose the majority of my weight during the summer! Shorts are cheaper than jeans! lol But I guess I will follow suit and check out all of the consignment shops when the time arises!!

Please post pics when you feel comfortable! I love seeing pics of progress!
