Dr. Genaw and Dr Carlin from Henry Ford Hospital are wonderful. They have a very comprehensive program. Wanda is the bariatric nurse who coordinates the program from the Detroit campus. I have been very happy with them. (Genaw did my surgery).

I know U of M Hospital has a bariatric program, not sure if Ann Arbor is too far away for you.

Dr. Pesta with the St. John Providence Weight Loss Center in Madison Heights is very good also.

I second what Smiling Kris said. Dr. Carlin did my surgery. I am very happy. Everyone was helpful. It was a great experience!

It depends on your insurance. Call around to the local hospitals. I have surgery scheduled in August with Dr Bacal out of Oakwood Hospital. He was referred to me by 3 people. A close friend of mine went to Henry Ford Hospital and had her surgery done in April, I am unsure who the doctor was. Hope that helps! Good luck!
