8 days until "Sleeve Day"...time moves very quickly!
Especially since I decided to have this procedure done only 5 days ago!
I asked Dr. Alamanza's office for a date in late June. They said sorry, how about June 21st? Okay, I said. Oops, they said 8 hours later... nothing available...how about June 19th? (Glad I didn't make air reservations!) Talk about moving targets!
I'm a 6 foot 4 inch, 330 pound guy. I've been lurking on here for about a week, and when I saw another guy with similar stats having remarkable results, I decided to take the plunge.
My insurance company laughed at me when I inquired about bariatric surgery, so I'm self-pay all the way.

OMGoodness. Aren't you nervous? I have been thinking about this plan for months with no surgery date yet. I would freak if they said that quick for me. It takes commitment, are you ready for that? It's weird and funny being a male at the clinic...most of the patients are women. I was the only guy with six other ladies and got a little special attention from Lupita the nurse...lol! Didn't love the over night nurse in the hospital but Lupita was great...very patient and kind! I’m very happy with my results…9 lbs from goal in 4 months! Good Luck!
