Update On My Surgery In Mexico Down 45 pounds since May7th

Surgery went well I am now down to 320 from 365. I just started eating mushy foods.
2 of my 5 incisions busted back open after stitches were removed so got them stitched back up
now just waiting for them to heal. It is very different eating a half a cup of food and being full.

I used Dr Almanza in Mexico total cost was only 4500 but I got a 300 buck discount for booking it
within 10 days of talking to the lady I got it booked through. When you call Melissa she will send
you all the info you need to know. I had no complications with the surgery as of yet I had it done

Henry it's great to hear from you. I thought they kidnapped you in Mexico...lol. I was really worried that you had some sort of complication and that was why you had not wrote about your surgery. I am very happy to hear that everything went well. As I wait for my surgery and contemplate the changes that will occur, I still cannot believe made the 1st step towards getting this surgery done. I keep thinking about having to do that liquid diet for 30 days and I keep thinking there is no way I will be able to do that. I will seriously try to do the diet but with how I am eating now I don't see how it will be possible to be successful during that period. Was the liquid phase of the diet difficult?

How many days after surgery did you get your stitches removed? I am 10 days out, and just got mine removed today by my Dr here at home, two of them popped open and some might fun stuff is happening now!

I got them taken out 10 days after surgery like I was told but all is good. it will heal..

Just curious, did u have to see a psychologist or dietician before having the surgery? What is differennt other than cost? Will u travel to Mexico for followup visits?

I saw noone but my regular primary care doctor for the sleeve none of the dietician or psychologist was necessary for me. as far as the diet they give you papers on what you can eat and when. And the psychologist I knew i wanted the sleeve i didnt need his approval I have been wanting it for over a year before I decided to get it done. Best decision I have made in a long time other then marrying my wife 20+ years ago..

@pgood, I'm having a horrible time with the preop. I'm glad I don't go back to work until tuesday. I have to add soup at lunch and dinner plus 5 unjury shakes
