WOW, I have read all your post and really you guys are to kind. I am so excited to see how things go with all of you. I read a lot of you are at a stall, don't give up, ill just keep saying it, inches count to! It seems to me, and please don't take this wrong, but the more weight you have to lose, seems that it comes off in the begining alot faster then if you have 90-100 pounds to lose. I am not saying 90-100 pounds is not ALOT OF weight to lose, by all means it is! It just was for me a slower process then some people i know that had more to lose then I did. Their first months were huge losses and my journey was more slow paced. I hope i have not offended anyone with that comment because i do not mean any disrespect to anyone. As for my age, I am 39 and I didnt have a lot of photos of me before surgery because i was very unhappy with life. I mention to someone recently that i just was existing in life not really living it. When I took that photo, i had no idea the difference, my doctor came to me with the before picture and then handed me after and i got all teary eyed and amazed at how bad i looked not only physically but mentally i was in bad shape. I still have stress just like everyone and life can be a pain lol but the smile comes easier now, and i feel good and more positive then I have in years. I should mention that the after picture was taken in NOV 2011 that was my 1 year picture, and the picture on my profile in my shorts was taken in March 2012 and my avatar picture was taken this month May 2012- i am going in for my 18 month check in and they will take another picture, and i will gladly post if you like to see. As for the saggy skin, not sure why i didn't have that issue, i really think that because i didnt lose tons of weight really fast, it really did take a full year plus some to get this weight off, so i think maybe thats why i got lucky. However i won't lie, i do have some stretch marks on my sides or hips area i guess, where the skin stretched, they are faint but i know they are there. I am not grossed out with my appearance, i am proud and very content. I hope i answered all the questions for you guys. Please tell me how things are going and put up those pictures, dont be shy we want to share in your journey.
Mia
You look amazing! Thanks for sharing! And I had the issue with wearing too-big clothes as well. By the time I bought a size 10 I was already about to shrink out of it. The 12's I had been wearing looked obnoxious!
