Default Aches and cramps during pre-op??

The past two days my lower back, hips and thighs have been aching amost like cramps. I feel so weak and just not myself the past. I get done with work and all I want to do is lay on a heating pad and sleep! Has anyone ever experienced this? I am wondering if this could this be because of the protein diet? Maybe lacking something nutrient wise?

If it's your liquid diet, your body may be detoxing. Toxins are released starting at about 36 hours of liquid fasting.

So true and make sure you are getting plenty of fluids. My first 4 days I ached and I called the Dr. and he told me I wasn't getting enough fluids and sure enough the next day after I increasded my fluid intake the aches were gone.

Couple of things. Drink lots and lots of water. Figure 1/2 your body weight in oz. Try some magnesium and potassium. Vitamin Water Zero in Rise flavor is good for this. And be sure you're getting some sodium. In the past on Atkins induction, which is also high protein/low carb this has happened and it's a sodium issue. The usual fix is a cup of regular sodium/not low sodium broth a day.

Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.

Do you have a fever? Could be your kidneys.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I figured out what it was....severe constipation. I am thinking my body kind of went into shock between protein diet and no coffee and PMS it was not sure what to do. lol

Feeling much better this today!! The protein diet is also getting easier to cope with.
