    Hi everyone

I had my sleeve done at Luton & Dunstable hospital. Has anyone else had theirs done there? My surgeon is Mr J Vain.

Hi, It was €6,500 (thats euros) I was very happy with the care, they are very well geared up for people travelling and have a very efficient system. Good luck and keep in touch.

Hi uk Manchester here. I was sleeved on 8th July 2011 so stilll early days. Im on my mushy food right now and feel fantastic! Last nights tea was a very small portion of fresh Salmon (donated from hubby's plate) tablespoon of mash, carot and turnip ... MMMM loved it and was FULL AND HAPPY after no pains or discomfort so i'm buzzing at the moment. Weight is coming of at a rate of a pound a day sometimes more, I know this will slow down though. Mr Ammori is in my eyes a God, he has given me back my life and I'm loving evey minute.

Any other north west uk on this forum?

Hi Jane! Good to hear you are doing well after your sleeve! I was sleeved on 10th June so am about a month ahead of you. I'm onto normal diet now and still reintroducing new foods one at a time. So far so good and no problems! The weight loss is great. I know what you mean about getting your life back. My life has changed so much already! I am a much happier person. I'm originally from the North west (Merseyside) but live in London now.

Keep up the good work and keep us updated! :-)

Hey All! I live near Cambridge, and am having my surgery in London with Dr. Patel. I'm so excited, and wish it would just get here. It looks like I'll be having it sometime in September!

    Hi
It's been quite a while since I last posted on here and so much has happened to me in the last 34 weeks.

I had my surgery on 15 June 2011. I weighed in at a hefty 112kgs and a size 28. Today I weigh in at 78kgs and a size 14. I am doing really well and have no problems eating my small portions.

I was widowed 9 weeks after surgery, lost my dog 9weeks after that. I am so pleased that I had the surgery done as I was a very bad comfort eater. Not being able to eat large portions and having to watch my intake of sugar and fat has really helped me.

Good luck to everyone who is about to have surgery and best wished to those who have had surgery.

    Foggy xxx
