Well I couldn't wait any longer I called Cigna and they told me I was denied because my PCP need to write an recommendation not the surgeon and I asked them that they told me don't worry about it so now I am worried because in March I went for a check up n my blood pressure was up so they put me on bp pills 12.5mg as needed well I ran out and they did a full lab work up which I will see her Thursday for but the nurse said I have to make sure my pressure is normal and do a ekg all this other stuff omg added stress now I got to make sure my pressure stays down between now in Thursday ughhhhhh. Ok blah blah blah can anyone shed some light on my situation please

Stop, take a deeeep breath and let it go. Don't be overanxious and it will hopefully happen for you. Sending good thoughts your way. Fight for it if you have to, do whatever it takes. Sometimes it takes more patience than we want to give, but I know you can do it. Good luck.

Insurance companies are a pain! this happened to me too...your PCP should write the letter and it will get approved....they always deny it on the first try it seems....just be a little more patient!

High blood pressure is a comorbitiy that qualifies you for WLS. Get on the phone to your PCP and ask him/her to write the letter asap. Be a pest until they do. Insurance companies are in the business to make money so they're not going to go eacy on you. Hang in thee. It will happen.
