I am scheduled for surgery 9/28/10 at the University of Mo, Dr. Norbert Richardson. I have read and feel educated. I am a nurse and I am so nervous. I feel I am prepared but I just feel so nervous. Maybe I Know way too much. Does anyone have any experience with the university where I am going or my surgeon

Well done Mary. We know how you feel, and yes if you're "medical" then there is more to think about. Looking forward to hearing how you get on when you get to the other side.

Good luck Mary. Being a nurse you are probably more informed than others, but I think it is better to know more. I had my surgery on Monday 02/08 and when I went to intensive care I was scared thought something bad had happened, but here in France they said it is procedure.

I just had it done and I feel awesome !! The weight is coming off.. only been 3 days , but no pain meds needed, and drinking and "eating" fine !

Keep us in the loop how it goes, it would be great if you create a Journey thread for all to read and also maybe upload a before and after picture.
