Red face Wanted to give an update!

well I am 4 months out, it has been very slow, slow weight loss for me. I am currently at 165 lbs and I my weight pre op was 193. I just joined the gym last week, so I am hoping the working out will help me loose the rest of this weight. The past 3 months, I have only lost 1-4 lbs each month. This past month only 1 lb. Some days I do get frustrated, but I really try not to think about it and just keep trying. I do feel great, my clothes fits so much better and have gone from size 14 to a size 10. I am only 5'1 so I still need to loose a bit more. My goal is 130 lbs. Just wanted say hello to everyone and encourage you that it can be done, we just need to commit and make the necessary changes. God bless you all!

You're doing great, and when you get to exercise more it will kick it up. Don't forget to go for the protein first

    Hi there!
You might have just hit a stall. I bet the weight will come off slowly but surely. You know the old thing about slow and steady winning the race. Congrats!!

Hi Anamor, you look awsome.!!! I am starting out about your starting weight too, I'm 4'9'' and my goal weight is 120. I think since the "smaller" you are, the slower it is for the weight to come off. Anywhoo...you are doing a great job!

Anomore! Thanks for the update! I am sorry it has been slow going for you, but it IS going and you are looking Fabulous! You are gonna be so much happier this summer in your smaller size, you will probably be at your goal mid summer or august! Keep up the good work! The Best part of you loosing it slowly is your hair wont fall out and your skin has time to adjust and wont sag! Love you! Rainbow

Well done. I should take lessons from you. It takes real maturity, courage and determination not to be discouraged when things move slowly. I really admire your attitude! Congratulations.

Wow, from a 14 to a 10 that is awesome!!! I'm glad you are staying positive, I have noticed a steady loss as I started my workouts, so the gym should really give you a boost! Stay focused and make sure you get your vitamins, water and protien!!! Keep up the good work and thanks you for sharing your great outlook and progress.

Red face Re: Wanted to give an update!

Anamor2011, I have been home sick with the flu so I am sorry it has taken me this long to respond. I just wanted to let you know that when I read your post it was inspirational. Being on these boards can sometimes be difficult especially when people like us are starting at a lower weight and have less to lose. When we read about people losing 1-4 lbs a week it can be somewhat discouraging. I have been having many of the same issues as you (I'm 5'2" and started at 196lbs) and I just wanted to thank you for posting and for helping me remember that this is an ongoing process with many ups and downs. Hearing that others are struggling makes me realize that I am not necessarily doing anything wrong, just that it's going to take more effort and patience on my part to succeed. Thanks again and best of luck in your journey.
