i cheated :-( discouraged

day 5 of my pre-op dieat and i cheated it was nothing big but i cheated with just the fact that i know i did. so i had about 7 french fries that i ate .. why would i do a thing like that because i want more but in going to stay strong well try.

Its ok........its going to take time to adjust to a new eating habit. Not going to be easy, I am going to have the same problem when it comes time...............Just keep your eye on the prize!

Ok you didn't cheat. You just ate. Trust me you won't be eating that right after surgery. Some people like me didn't even have to do a pre-op diet. I ate pizza & steak the week prior to surgery and still lost weight and did fine. Don't beat yourself up. Good luck!

I had a rough 2 week pre op diet. I cheated with the permission of my coordinator and it felt great! I was sleeved 6 days ago and it's sooo easy compared to the pre op diet! Stay focused, your reward is coming shortly!

thank you guys.. i really need to hear that but heck i just ate the rest of my daughter sandwich and her 5 lil fries ughh i feel so bad now but it was so good.!!! but i can feel the different in my tummy its crazy with just that lil bit of food ... ok im going back on track

Lots of people only did a 3 day diet. Depends on your doc but I saw the difference in the. People who cheated the day before surgery. Boy that was hard to watch. I did a 10 day pre op. The after surgery was MUCH easier I'm heading into week 4 and lovin it. Your turn!!

Pre op diets are training for the sleeve, not everyone needs/has them nor does them perfectly. I did a liquid diet similar to a pre op diet to kick my mandated pre op weight loss (My HMO's requirements for being sleeved, among other things) but I got pretty sick of it after a week. I sympathize for all of you who have to do the pre op diets...they don't suit everyone.

you have a goal.. you slipped.. get up and keep moving toward that goal. In the end you will have a much better, happier, healthier life. It will be okay.. just don't do it again.. until a month after surgery.. you will be fine.

Highly doubt it. I cheated twice and my doc said my liver was fine and it showed that I folllowed the pre op diet. DON'T Give up!!!

That's OK!!!!!!!!!!!! Just don't over do it. Nicole you have to pray it will get easier we can do all thing with the strength of god...We fall down but we get up

Don't worry, like I said earlier...it's practice. Few people practice perfectly, this will just get you used to the way of eating you'll need to do when sleeved, which I used to object to but now agree w/.
