wow... 4 weeks of liquid? my plan was 3 days liquid, full liquids for 10 days, soft food 3 weeks, then reg food after that.. now I really feel doomed..
but I barely eat,..

Every doctor is different as I read all the post. My doctor has no pre-op diet just the day before clear liquids. So I guess he wants me to do a month of liquids. Only time will tell I guess - I am scheduled for April 5.

I found what it was called...
Endoscopic injection of a “sclerosant” (sodium morrhuate) to shrink the stomach. Your surgeon may need to administer the injections 2 to 3 times before determining whether the process was a success.

apprently the FDA or whoever approves those kind of things ..has just start ed doing it..it also good for bypass patients as well

why spand so much money on this surgery if you dont fallow the docyor's order you dont drink and eat at the same time you dont over eat and most of allyou need to stop there people here that do fallow the doctor step by step.i hope all work for you .

Same reason you had the surgery ..you didn't stop eating...some habits are hard to break...but atleast I know that drinking could have been part of the problem..and trust me not everyone on here follows step by step doctors orders even you...

Rylynn, Your doing good on your diet and have been an inspiration to me. Of course you are my sister and you have no issues hollering at me when I do wrong and try and help me learn from your mistakes. LOL I trust Dr. Dunkin. He is #1 in the world for gastric surgery. He believes in this procedure. Its just an added tool. Remember what he said at the appointment "the stomach will stretch and this is just a maintenance procedure to help you continue with the weight loss and reach your goal".
