3 day post op. how it went down for me

Hi everyone, first I wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes
They've meant a lot to me.. the surgery went pretty smoothly, spent one night in the hospital and came home the next day.. the pain isn't bad at all, one of the incisions hurts but to be honesmy throat hurt more than anything

Felt sick to my stomach off and on the first two days but that seems to have past and I didn't throw up at all (yay).. first 2 days I could only drink an ounce at a time and had slot of burping with that, so it was hard to get my fluid in.. today has been ALOT better drank ALOT of water and ate 2 s/f popsicles.. been walking every couple hours since night of surgery, and aside from that one incision and getting tired haven't had any issues.. oh and I'm down 10 lbs in 3 days too

Congratulations, James! Thanks for checking in with us. I am so glad you had a drama-free experience and that you are doing so well! You're doing all the right things: sipping and walking. 10 pounds in 3 days! Wow, that's awesome. Keep up the good work and keep healing.

First of all congrats! I had my sleeve 3/12/12 and reading your thread really opened my eyes because getting water down is a challenge and yes I get the burps too. I sure hope this is a short phase and life will go on nicely. Thank you again for sharing!

The surgery in hindsight wasn't really all that bad for me either. No problems, very little pain, more sore than anything, and burping started about where you are at 3 days out. Great to hear your doing well.
