    Default Frustration to the MAX!

I am just over 4months out and have been the same weight for 5 weeks . It moves up or down .5 to 1 pound and that is it!!!
It is so frustrating!! I havd had other stalls but nothing this long.
I track everything !! I don't see how we can be eating such low calories and carbs and NOT be losing..
I have had a bad cold/ sinus thing for the last month also, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Just need to vent to people who understand..
I live with 3 normal weight people and while my husband is very supportive when I am going off about this he says the same as I did above "I don't see how you can NOT be losing with eating such a small amount" I say I don't get it either...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreiciated!!!
    Julie

What is a typical days food intake and how much are you drinking?

    Hi Julie,
If I could offer a suggestion. I started taking pictures (front, back & both sides) every two weeks. Even when I'm not showing a loss on the scale, it still shows in the photos. Go figure! It really made a difference for me to see results even when the scale says otherwise
    Best of luck!

Try going back to the beginning. Do 3-4 days of full liquids, followed by 3-4 days of soft foods, etc. Advance your diet just like you did in the beginning. Go back to protein shakes. This is supposed to "reset" your sleeve and get you through stalls.

I like the two suggestions before my post. I also have read several times, that when you go through a stall your body is readjusting itself and that you will lose inches. Have you measured yourself lately? Maybe you've lost inches? ANd then the last suggestion would be to actually ADD calories to jumpstart your body out of starvation mode. Good luck!

Stalls suck no doubt but trust me it ends. Just keep doing what your doing and that scale will start moving again I promise. BTW I have found it helpful if I threaten my scale with a 9 iron... :-)

the 9 iron sounds good right now!!
I am drinking 80-100oz plain water a day.
80-100 grm. protien all from food NOT shakes most days
    800 or under calories.
    40 or under on carbs.
I track everything. I am just wondering if my body is so used to the food I eat. I differ what I have it just comes out to the same calories .
I feel my clothes are bigger. In the past with stall (that weren't this long) I never let it bother me as I though of it as losing inches phase.. Maybe that's all it still is. Just a VERY long one.
    Thanks for all the tips!!!
    Julie

Sounds like you are doing great Julie, sorry the scale isn't being nice. My suggestion would be to up your calories by 1-200 a day or two every other week. That will keep your body guessing. I do that and I have had very steady loss. Good luck!

One thing I would do is change up my exercise. I been changing up when I exercise and doing different kinds of exercise. Walk, bike, rowing machine. Our bodies are adaptable, so we have to change it up.
We are all in this boat together, If we do not row it will sink! So, We keep you alive to serve this ship. Row well, and live. From the movie Ben Hur.

~ doesn't think she'll ever reach her original weight, no matter HOW hard she tries. Hell, let's face it, 8lb 10oz is not very realistic is it?

WOW! I'm just impressed and dumbfounded you are getting in so much fluid!!! I am 14 days post-op and am STRUGGLING to get fluids in. Can't wait to feel hydrated again!! Sounds like you are doing everything right. Crazy stall can't last forever. Best of luck!!
