Treating yourself

I have already decided in my mind that after my procedure, I am going to reward myself with something everytime I reach a goal of mine. Maybe buy a pair of designer jeans or purchase something from a store I was never able to shop in before because of my size. What have you post-sleevers rewarded yourselves with?

clothes is a big one for me. I bought clothes as GOAL clothes the day i was approved for surgery. I should fit in the dress by christmas. I have a beautiful blouse that i purchased that will fit me when i lose ten or so more pounds.

Clothes. Hair changes. New Camera. My favorite is my reward for doing so well my first year out. On April 20th I will be participating in the Color Run in my area. I couldn't have imagine me doing a 5k to celebrate a year ago.

Something to honour your new body. A beauty treatment where I'm not so afraid to let anyone see my flesh and where I can get the gown on and where I can on and off the treatment table.

I weighed this morning and fir the first time in more than 20 years, I was under 330 (starting in October at 476, now at 327). That was a HUGE moment for me. So, I felt compelled to have some sort of reward today. Living in Phoenix, the temp got up to 92 today. Picked up my daughter after school and she asked for an ice cream cone. SO, what did I do? I had a small one as well. It's the first sweet thing I have had since starting this journey. It made me sick for two hours. So, it wasn't the treat I was expecting. But things work out as they should in the end. I was sitting in the coffee shop this evening after going to the movies and saw a guy choking just across from me. I saved him. It was a bit nasty, but he's alive. That was a nice treat.

Otherwise, I just buy new belts. I have about a dozen of them in my closet now. And I love to pull out the LONG ones and see how much they stretch around now compared to when they used to fit.

In 6 pounds we are dong an overnight trip to Kauai. Clothes weren't so much a reward as a must have. People don't like middle aged naked ladies with a still big gut running around outside.
