Sure...but you will learn to pick out the chicken and eat it first, and then, if there's any room left, you might eat a couple bites of the noodles. Believe me, you will be satisfied!

    Yep, what Diane said.

Once you're safely down the Post-Op road -- thru the liquids only phase and the mushee/puree phase -- you'll be able to eat most of your favorite foods if you always eat the protein part first, take little teeny bites and chew-chew-chew like The Little Engine That Could. LOL

    Excellent advice!
You can probably eat whatever you want to if you follow the simple rules and guidelines.
Consciously remembering to chew extra will help, as Pam pointed out.

My Dr said by the time u reach 5 months post op u should be on a regular diet. and pretty much eat what u can tollerate. now I'm in the soft puree stage and I tried pureed chicken and it reminded me of eating cat food. So i just get some chicken thats really moist and take tiny bits and chew, chew, chew. last might i ate about an oz of pork doing the same thing and it went down just fine. I had my surgery on the 16th.

I agree with Diane. Eat the chicken first and then the noodles. I agree you just can't eat much any more. I am 3 months almost. I eat between 800-900 calories a day and eat my required protein daily.

I just made it last night and had some. I had mostly chicken and some pasta. Very small amount though I seem to not be able to handle rich foods well and I am 3.75 months post-op.

I have had my surgery feb 22 and I am eating the white tuna in a bag (Starkist). Today I tried Scrambled eggs... and grilled chicken (lightly grilled) I just chew them up real good. No problems except with the eggs I think I ate a tad too much... so now I know to eat them slower.. they are easy to eat, so I must of lost my chewing with that.
Good luck with everything!!!! I am still learning too
