Anyone have any luck with foot pain from diabetes and arthritis get better with weight loss .
Your diabetes will be surely better. It is going to be better because your control on sugar intake and for the weight loss. I work in diabetes research, but do not know anything about Arthritis tho, but I am sure your pain will be relieved too
Good luck on the surgery
Good and bad news. The arthritis pain should get significantly better. But if you have neuropathic pain from diabetes, you won't see much improvement. Once the nerve damage occurs it is not reversible. But having better controlled diabetes or even halting it will prevent the neuropathy from getting worse.

YES YES YES!!! For those of you who have arthiritis issues. It makes a world of difference at least to me it did, I have osteroarthritis in both ankles and the ligaments around both ankles are like shredded. They wanted to do surgery, I asked if losing weight would help. The answer was yes. Well that is what got me interested in weightloss surgery . Now that I have had the surgery , my ankles have never felt better I can even run!!!!
little that is great news. I have horrible foot pain due to weight and arthritis. I can't wait for it to subside.

Oh, I hope so! I have arthritis in my feet, even have a knot on top of each foot, straight above the arch, which dr said he is not sure if it's a cyst or fluid from the arthritis. If I am on my feet too long, or especially WALK too long, my feet KILL me for a couple of days! I want it to get better with weight loss!
I am hoping that my knee pain starts to go away--or at least I can get my torn meniscus repaired after losing some weight. Ortho guy won't do surgery on me until I'm 240 at the most. The schmuck!
