Baby food is high in sugar and carbs. My dietician told me not to eat baby food.
My dietitian recommended baby food for the pureed foods stage. I added seasoning salt and about 1/2 teaspoon (really, very little) butter when I heated it up. It wasn't horrible with the extra seasoning I added. But it's just as easy to use a small food processor and blend up whatever your family is eating. I also stocked up, and I still have baby food in my pantry...what will I do what that? Guess I'll make vegetable stew one day and dump it all in to thicken it up! Oh yeah, and the baby food oatmeal was delicious. I added 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder to it and enjoyed that box of oatmeal even beyond the pureed and soft foods stage, until the entire box was gone and I "graduated" to regular oatmeal (to which I still add the protein powder).
