The GURGLES

Hello Beautifulls

Well, I'm 5 days post-op and haven't had anything major going on that I can pin point. I am however experiencing some awesome stomach Gurgles and a VERY loose stool. (saweee )

The Gurgles are exactly that...a gurgling noise coming from the stomach followed by diharea. This morning my stool was red and I got scared thinking it was blood until I remembered that I ate red jello last night. Geeezzz.... no more red jello for me y'all....especially if I can't tell the difference. And since I've been a "stool inspector" LOL and just UGH

what say you about this?
What can I use to "stiffen" my stool up? and are any of you having the gurgles? are they more apparent when you ingest something with sugar?

Just curious....my 1st set of gurgles came after I ate a "sugar free" popsicle.

My Dr. says those sounds mean everything is working right. (not that you are hungry...lol) Loose stools will be normal on the liquid diets. I am almost 3 weeks out and still have a loose stool but I am still on full liquids. Hope this helps.

I agree... the gurgles have just become par for the course.

I have the gurgles all the time! The first few days after surgery I had loose stool, but it actually went away after about a week!

The gurggling doesnt bother me as much as the loose stool but I'm sure that will pass when i can get to soft solids.

My sleeve was the 18th and I still have the gurgles. Kinda freaked me out at first but my doctor too said it was normal. GasEX helps with it a little if it's really bothering you, at least it's helping me.

All tis is very normal! After you start reg food you will actually go days without a bm! Then in a few more days all will be back to normal! I am 2 months post sleeve and my stomach still gurgles! You get used to it!! Good luck!

i had it to. gas x helped some, basicaly your body is still producing acid like it was before and has not adjusted to the changes in our bodies and diet. it gets better.

basically its because your stomach is empty!
